Melting hearts....

Mia has been behind in the smile department....

She is FINALLY starting to melt us with smiles (albeit few and far between). I do this thing with her where I take a deep loud breath and then blow a raspberry and she loves it! That's when she smiles.... :) Here is one I caught the tale end of!

Pause...

I am terrible at this... I am making it a mission to find time (maybe on lunch at work) to try and blog. When I get home my time right now is devoted to miss mia and her precious self!

Check out the daddy and Mia pictures!

love you...

That sound...

Who would have guessed I would ever come to lactate at the sound of poop? HA!

Tired...

It is amazing to me how one can function on such little sleep. Mia had a tough couple of days (as did I). I think it was a combination of the following:

1) Mom has a cold
2) Mia has a slight cold
3) Mia has her days and nights mixed up
4) Mia has gas ALL the time which really makes her little life difficult
5) Due to above mentioned Gas, Mia has a penchant for chomping thus making mommy miserable! It only takes one or two chomps to set us back days of healing!

Despite all of this, the joy I feel when I look at this sweet sleeping face makes it all melt away....

I guess that answers my own question of how one functions on such little sleep.

A poignant outing...

I took Mia to visit the teachers at Daniel's school today. They have been extremely gracious to us throughout this whole journey and we wanted them to be able to see her sweet self in person. It was FREEZING (literally) outside though and I sure was not prepared for that. It was a true joy to share our blessing with so many faithful prayer warriors. What touched my heart the most was when one of the first grade teachers came up to see us and told me that her class has prayed for Mia everyday. She let me know that if she forgot to mention Mia the kids would say "Don't forget baby Mia and Mr Daniel and Mrs Jennie". What an inspiration and a reminder of what an incredible God we serve where the mouths of babes are so faithful.
